April Showers

We were quite spoiled on Thursday when the temperature reached 80 degrees, so this weekend with the temps in the 40 along with the cool rain I was reminded what spring in Fargo is actually like. Today we went house hunting in the rain, but it was a very successful hunt. We found a house we really liked and are going for a second look later this week. Maybe with our next post we can put some pictures up (maybe of our new house!!).

With the cooler weather our little man has picked up a pretty tough cold. He's been pretty stuffed up and restless when he is sleeping. Hopefully he gets over this one quickly. We are seeing the ENT doctor next week to talk about putting tubes in his ears. This would hopefully cut down on the number of ear infections he has been having. The total is up to five since Christmas.

We did take advantage of the warmer days this week. Adam got to play in his sandbox again, and is eating considerably less sand than last year. He also got some time at the playground. He loves the swings (and the mud puddles). He has also started this singing thing which has been quite entertaining.

I thought I would post a little comparison picture, so you can see how much he has changed since last summer. The top picture was take last June, and the bottom one was taken just a couple days ago. What a difference 10 months makes. I think you all with enjoy the video as well, except for maybe the Vikings fans out there. Enjoy!

Well, it's official...

As some of you may know, we've been planning on selling our condo this spring to search for an actual house with a yard. My cousin contacted me before we got around to putting our home on the market and we were able to come to an agreement. So, congratulations to Tasha on the purchase of her first home, and we look forward to starting the search for a new house. Even though we have a realtor lined up to find a home for us, we got a little antsy and went to some open houses today. What we saw was very promising for houses in the areas where we would like to live and in the right price range. It's exciting to know that we're not just "window shopping" anymore and if the right house is there, we're in a position to make an offer. We are going out Tuesday evening with our realtor to narrow things down with her.

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend. My parents came to town so we decided to have a little pizza pool party at the hotel. Ryan's cousin Tasha joined us and we had a great time, especially Adam. The hotel had a really nice pool area with slides for the kids. Adam was having such a good time he actually threw a tiny fit when we took him out of the pool; he kept trying to jump out of our arms to get back in. He is definitely a water baby. Adam also got to go for a little cruise around in his new wagon that the Easter Bunny brought him. He's smiles and waves at everybody, just like he is on parade.


We had a wonderful church service this morning followed by a nice brunch where we were joined by my parents, Kristen, Tasha, Meeks, Erika, Joel, Aaron, and Tanya. It was a nice big group and the food was great. Adam got to do a little Easter egg hunt this morning, but once he found out there was candy in the eggs he didn't want to give them up. He has developed quite the sweet tooth this weekend. Below are some fun pictures and video from the weekend. I hope everyone had a wonder Easter.

Clean up

As I was getting Adam ready for bed tonight and cleaning up around his room, I started to notice him doing something that was a little unusual. He was taking all of the clothing out of his dresser drawer and piling it in the middle of his room. After the drawer was completely empty, he took each piece of clothing and put it back into the drawer. I noticed as he was doing this that he was singing the clean up song. For those of you who are not familiar with this it goes:

"Clean up, clean up, everybody everywhere. Clean up, clean up, everybody do your share"

Actually all you can really hear is him saying "clean up, clean up, everybody." I am assuming he picked this up at daycare, but it is really cute. He did this little clean up routine at least 7 times in a row and was actually a little mad when I made him stop to get his pajamas on. I did manage to catch it on video. Enjoy.
