The little things

There are so many little things that I take for granted. One of these things is my garage door opener. This little convenience, especially on these cold winter days, is something I have been missing for the past few weeks. Getting in an out of my warm car to lift this heavy door is something that I do not enjoy doing. So you can image my joy when I returned home from work yesterday to a working garage door. My sweet husband took time out of his busy day off to call the garage door repair man (after three weeks).

One thing that I do not take for granted is my healthy little boy. Here are some pictures that I found on my camera from the last month. Enjoy

Catching up on the events of the Hundred Acre Wood with Uncle Dan.
Relaxing in Papa's chair.
This living room ain't big enough for the both of us.
Sweet dreams!

Braving the weather

We decided to brave some pretty bad weather on Saturday and make the journey to Minot to visit Grandma and Grandpa Fried. It was all worth it when we were greeted in Minot with an Olympic themed dinner. Sonya is a very good and creative cook!

Itwas a fun filled weekend for all of us. Ryan and I randomly decided to purchase a treadmill from one of Sonya's coworkers. We got a really good deal and are looking forward to having this option at home. I guess that means I have no more excuses for not exercising (or I will just have to work harder at making some up).

Adam got to learn some new things from his grandparents this weekend. Warren imparted his knowledge of bowling to his grandson. Adam actually managed to bowl a 65 with the help of bumpers. He was pretty excited about it. Here is grandpa Warren showing him some tricks.
Sonya passed on some of her creativity, helping Adam with a painting project. He really wanted to paint penguins, so now Sonya has about 10 penguin pictures on her fridge.
Our budding artist
Lucky for us, Adam has decided to keep his clothes on at night so we no longer have to pin down his zipper to keep him in clothes. More importantly, we get to put him into cuter pajamas, instead of the same four zip up sleepers. Our little guy is getting so big (2 1/2 years on Valentine's Day).

Rock Star

The Superbowl half time show seems to have had a big impact on Adam. Here is some more footage of our budding rock star. Enjoy!

Half Time Show

We had a very fun weekend complete with snow and football. Even though the Colts did not win, I still managed to enjoy myself and eat my body weight in caramel corn (compliments and Angela).

Michelle came to visit for the weekend. I love her visits. We had some quality girl time while watching chick flicks and comparing our current knitting projects. When we were in high school we never dreamed we would be this cool.

Michelle enjoying the Superbowl commercials.
Tanya all cute and pregnant.
Ryan and his ladies
CHEESE!!!!
Adam was entranced by the lights of the half time show. Watching him was more entertaining than the actual half time show.

In memory

As many of you know, my Papa passed away this last Wednesday. We were able to spend the weekend with family remembering old stories, looking at pictures, and celebrating the life of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Thank you to everyone for their thoughts and prayers. Papa will be missed.
