Who'da thunk it? Two posts in one day!

We're still waiting on the crib. Hopefully it comes in the next few days. This weekend the two of us are headed to Duluth for a wild game feed. Robin is looking forward to going to spend a little time shopping with her mother. Last weekend we ordered the bedding for our nursery through Target.com for a very reasonable price. It really surprised us when it arrived Tuesday. Here's a picture. See if you can guess the theme... We've tentatively come up with a painting scheme for the nursery and may or may not put the grandparents to work when they come to town for Easter. By the way, there's also a new belly pic at the bottom.

Sorry it's been awhile since the last post. I blame the warm weather. Anyway, this last weekend Ryan and I were able to get out and enjoy the weather a little bit. On Sunday night we had some friends over for some grilling, games and a fire.

Ryan and I just finished up our membership classes at our church, Bethel Evangelical. I got a suprise after our class on Sunday, when I ran into Gayln and Julie Short. They are the parents of my best friend Michelle who is currently working for the Peace Corps in Zambia, Africa. She will be over there for a total of about two years. It was great catching up with them. Julie and Michelle's brother Ryan are going over to Africa for a visit this June. Safe travels! CableOne came today and fixed our internet problems so hopefully we have no more problems. We had our ultrasound today. Everything's going well for baby and mother. Here's a couple of pictures that we got of our baby BOY!!! Robin's parents were in town this past weekend. Saturday night we went out for a little bit to enjoy St. Patrick's Day since our friend Joel was playing at the HoDo. We also purchased the crib and changing table we had previously picked out. I'm looking forward to assemble this and start setting up the nursery. We also can choose our nursery theme now that we know the sex of the baby.

And now for something completely different

I know Robin is the one who usually does the posts, so I figured I'd throw in a little about me. Beez, Mikey (two of my droogs), and I were going to go see 300 last Friday, but it was sold out before we got there. Luckily we were able to go Sunday instead. I dare say it was worth the wait ("This is where we fight. This is where they die."). I would suggest seeing it to anyone who was the least bit interested. It makes me want to learn more about this event. I was told that there was a show on the History Channel covering this which I wouldn't mind watching if I notice it's on.

Baseball season is just around the corner. I've been getting to listen to the Twins at work, but I think it's a little weird listening to baseball in the middle of a snow storm. I'm excited for this summer where the weather will be warm and I can get out to a few Redhawks games. I must be getting spring fever.

I keep hearing that there's a good chance that my Packers will be making an acquisition (much to the chagrin of purple fans) of a certain former Viking receiver. I for one would be very excited to see Moss in green and yellow (Yes, I remember the "mooning" incident). I just hope he comes with the right attitude and helps them win. (Moss going deep; he's got Winfield beat; TOUCHDOWN...PACKERS!!! and with that touchdown Brett Favre has beaten Dan Marino's record for most career touchdown passes). I would love to hear Paul Allen make that announcement. Sorry, I listen to a lot of sports radio at work.
That's enough rambling, it's time for the true reason of this post. I know it's been a couple weeks since we've posted belly pictures. We would have had these up earlier, but our internet service has been up and down (mostly down) for the past few days. It's hard to tell who's bigger...

Spring is in the air!

It is that time of year. The time of year when the snow is melting and there are puddles and dirt everywhere. My car, jeans and floors are all showing the effects of the melted snow and extra sand. I do not enjoy this. I do however enjoy the warmer temperatures. Even though it has only been in the mid 30s, it feels so much warmer. It's almost time to bust out the spring jacket.

This last weekend was a very good weekend. I was able to spend some much needed quality time with Ryan and I also had a chance to go out with the girls on Sunday night. Working the PM shift, while it has it's perks (sleeping in), is kind of taking its toll on my social life. I work opposite hours then everyone else in my life. Its funny that I see my coworker Kipp for more hours in the week than I see my husband, if you don't count the hours we are sleeping. Anyway, Ryan and I make it work and that is why I love my weekends when I can see him and my other friends.

I will have new pictures up soon. Our internet at home has been acting funny so when that is fixed we'll be back in business.

Moving right along.

Just as all the books said I would, I have felt the baby move for the first time. I thought I felt it move yesterday, but early this morning it moved again and I knew there wasn't anything else that it could be. It is a very new feeling but also very cool. I just thought I would share the news.

Who said men can't knit?

This past week has been pretty uneventful. We did get a few inches of snow in our area which I know doesn't even compare to what Duluth and Minneapolis got. Someone did steal our shovel and when I went out to try and buy one there was none to be found in Fargo, but there were plenty of swimsuits and flip-flops to buy. On Saturday I went over to Erika's to teach her and Ryan how to knit. Overall they were very good students, Ryan however did have a little trouble following the instructions.

By the end of the lesson both had made very good progress on their projects.

The rest of the weekend was very relaxing. We had some friends over on Saturday night for supper and games. Sunday was spent cleaning and sleeping. I hope you all had a safe weekend with all the snow.
