Congratulations!!

First off, a big congratulations to my little sister Kristen Fried, MD.  She graduated from medical school at UND last weekend.  We are all very proud of her and her hard work.  She is doing her residency in Obstetrics/Gynecology at University of Missouri at Kansas City so she will be very close, and we are very excited about that. We also want to say great job on finishing her first half marathon in Fargo!

 We are loving life in Omaha.  The weather's great.  There is no shortage of activities.  I feel like we will end up being members of everything in town at this rate.  This weekend we became members of the Fontenelle Nature Association.  I'd been there once before earlier this spring before the trees came in and it was nice.  It was gorgeous this time of year and Adam was a little trooper and had so much fun.  He had actually been asking to go hiking.

Our apologies for the long absence. We have been busy adjusting to the new place and exploring our new home. Before I get into anything else, I will get to the best part. We accepted an offer on our house, and are set  to close in June! This is a huge weight lifted, and we can now start to build a home in Omaha. God is good! Now for the updates...

Ryan: Is keeping busy with work, and much to my dismay he is also keeping busy with World of Warcraft. Thank you Aaron for that. Ryan has however been covering kitchen duty while I have been busy running, which really means, except for the fact I am running, nothing has really changed.

Robin: Besides busy times at work and recent travels to Maine, I am in the middle of my training for Grandma's half marathon. Right now if feels like if I am not working, I am running either for training or after my busy little boy.

Adam: He is enjoying life right now. He is interested in everything, wants to do everything, and wants to meet and hug everybody (I am not kidding, he will hug anyone who will stand still long enough). He is reading very well, writing sentences on his own an even doing simple math. Ryan and I are going to have a hard time keeping up with him at this rate.

We are members of the Omaha Children's Museum and have taken advantage of the programs they offer. Adam had a good time checking out their builder exhibit.

Adam is getting very good at writing. The other day he was tracing animals and then decided to write what about what he was drawing (unprompted by his parents...no really). He even did the spelling and sentence structure on his own. I was amazed at what he was able to do. He is growing up way too fast!
