Merry Christmas Everyone

We had a pretty quiet little Christmas yesterday with just the three of us. Robin and I both had to work until around 11:00 yesterday and then came home to spend the rest of the afternoon with Adam. We took some time to open a few remaining presents before church and went to the early service which was geared towards families with small children. After church we took a little drive to look at the lights in Lindenwood park. Since Adam slept through much of this, we had a difficult time getting him to go to bed at his normal bedtime, so he got to stay up an extra two hours waiting for Santa. Santa did visit last night and brought Adam a little Indianapolis Colts sleeper and his mother also got some Colts sleepwear. We tried a little video with our new camera while opening presents yesterday, so here's our attempt at movie magic.

Happy Anniversaries!

Sorry again for the not posting in awhile. The holiday times have been busy. Last weekend we took off for Duluth for a visit. It was my mom's birthday weekend and the trim the tree party at my grandparents. We decided we would surprise them by coming to the party. Adam was a big hit as always. He was all smiles as usual. We had a great time, and I will have pictures soon.
This last week has been busy almost every night. I was in a program at church so there we long rehearsals for that, plus we had to finish up our Christmas shopping. This past weekend we had all of the family in town. Can you believe we were able to cram 13 people for dinner into our house on Saturday night. Adam was sick over the weekend, he wasn't eating and what he would eat would come right back out (from both ends). Ryan and I were lucky enough to catch Adam's bug on Sunday. We were quite the trio on Sunday night, the three of us got cozy in bed and all went to sleep early. It was so nice to have all the grandparents in town, they helped with Adam and with aftermath cleaning from dinner on Saturday. Ryan, Adam and I are very lucky.

Happy anniversary to my parents today, married 30 years! Also happy anniversary to Erika and Joel married 2 years today. I hope you guys are enjoying your new house!

I promise to post some fun pictures soon.

Let it Snow!

Over the weekend we got about 7-8 inches of snow. Here are the pictures I promised of the fun winter activities that Adam got to do. He had a very busy weekend.

All bundled up for a car ride.

Putting an ornament up on his advent calender made by Grandma Cathy.

Playing on his tummy!

Making Christmas cookies with mom and dad.

Yummy cookies!

Adam stuffed after eating all those cookies. :)

Happy Birthday Dan!

Happy birthday to my brother Dan! He is 29 today. Dan also shares his birthday with Britney Spears, Luci Liu, and Gianni Versace. I was thinking back again and realized that one year ago this very weekend is when I found out that I was pregnant with Adam. My how time flies. It feels like he has been around longer than three months. He is at a very fun stage. He smiles and giggles at just about everything and is content to just stare at himself in the mirror. I can't post any new pictures because I am posting at work, but I promise I will get some up tomorrow. We got almost a foot of snow here over the last couple of days. I feel like I blinked and now it is winter. Ryan has been motivated by the new winter weather to start some Christmas goodie baking. Ryan is not only a very good cook but he bakes pretty well also. I really lucked out because I am not very good at either. Well I suppose, back to work. More, with pictures, tomorrow. In the meantime, here are some fun holiday blogthings to try out.

Oh Christmas Tree!

Last night we put up Adam's first Christmas tree. It was quite cold and snowy outside, so it was a perfect night to get the house ready for Christmas. I was reluctant to put up a tree this year, because last year Tad learned how to climb the tree which resulted in a few broken ornaments. Ryan talked me into putting up a smaller tree, so hopefully this year Tad will stay away. Not likely.

Adam with his new Baby's First Christmas ducky ornament. I even dressed him up all festive for the occasion.

Adam had fun staring at the lights and sparkling ornaments, but he did tucker out before the tree was finished. I think Ryan and I did a good job finishing it without his help.

Random cute Adam pictures.

Fun new toy!

Weekend at the Frieds

This last weekend we spent with Ryan's parents in Minot. Ryan's aunt Cheri and uncle Terry were there visiting for the holiday as well. We had a relaxing time with the family. Adam was, of course, a huge hit. We had, at one time, seven adults sitting around just staring at him as he entertained himself in his bouncer. I am having trouble posting the video I got of him this weekend but I will try again soon.

Super Adam!

Grandma gave Adam a candy cane. He was sure quick to put that in his mouth. The wrapping was still on, no candy for Adam yet.

What I'm Thankful For!

Since I had to work on Thanksgiving we spent it here in Fargo at Joel and Erika's apartment. We had lots of good food and got to spend time with friends. Ryan and I missed our families on this holiday, but will see you all very soon. Here are some pictures of just some of the people I'm thankful for.

Talking to Mom.

Since it has been so long since our last post, I will be posting a lot of pictures for you in the next couple days. There has been lots going on so I have many, many cute new pictures of Adam. (I hope that makes up for our absence.) I hope you enjoy the video of Adam talking to mom!

I almost forgot...

Because Erika felt it necessary to put such a "beautiful" picture of me on her website, I felt it only fitting that I do the same for her. This picture was taken when we were in Scotland together. (I did have to crop myself out of the picture so as to not steal her thunder.) By the way, congrats to Erika on her new job and her new house!

Story Time

It was story time for Adam and he was being so cute I couldn't resist taking out the camera. Enjoy!

I love story time with Daddy!

This book doesn't taste very good.
