Adam's big boy bed.
Adam has officially moved to his big boy bed, complete with new big boy sheets and pillow (Adam was really excited about having his own little pillow). We were not sure that he would be eager to stay in bed now that he has more freedom. We were pleasantly surprised when he jumped right in to bed and was fast asleep not to long after (this was repeated tonight also). The cutest sight in the entire world is sneaking into my son's bedroom to finding him all snuggled into his pillow and blankets, sleeping peacefully. Melt my heart.

Fun in a box
Last weekend just for fun I made a robot head or a space helmet or a whatever for Adam to play with. Really, I just cut a hole in a diaper box and stuck it on his head. We then proceded to goof around. As you can see even dad got in on the fun.

Fall is here!
The leaves are starting to turn, school is back in session and the Pumpkin Spice Latte is back at Starbucks (Yum). Fall must be here. Ryan is excited because along with fall comes the start of football season. This Sunday Ryan was glued to the TV, cheering for all the players on his fantasy football team and of course his Green Bay Packers. Adam's education in football is starting early as evidence by the pictures below.
"Mom stop distracting us, we're trying to watch the game!"

"Go Pack Go!"
Heisman!
"As you can see Adam, that is what's known as the kickoff."
"Go Pack Go!"
As I was brushing Adam teeth tonight I noticed a big chip had been taken out of his right front tooth. I feel bad because I have no idea when this could have happened. Even though his education has mainly been in football, he is looking more like a hockey player.

Labor Day Weekend
As you can probably tell by my lack of posting, I am back in class. I was such a wonderful break that I had, and it made me even more eager to be done with classes. Only three months to go! I was able to have one last bit of fun before school started back up. Adam and I took a trip to Duluth over the long Labor Day weekend. Ryan was unable to go with us because of work, and he was definitely missed. Adam had a pretty busy time while in Duluth. I must warn you all that I got a little picture happy with this post. I hope you enjoy.
After the visit, Adam got even more animal at the Duluth zoo. Followed by a trip to Uncle Jim and Aunt Phyllis's farm. Adam was pretty brave at first but got a little clingy when the animals got to close.

We visited a friend John Thierer and his donkeys Duff and Dylan. They made a lasting impression on Adam, after we got home he went looking around the house calling out "Duff a Deeyan whew a you".
Adam also got to dip his feet in Lake Superior for the first time. It started out with just his feet, but in true toddler fashion he was stripped down to just his diaper so he could splash and dive right in.
We also go to spend a lot of great family time with Granny, Papa, Uncle Dave, Uncle Dan and soon to be Aunt Liz. Adam got to see a few more animals with the "bird on a stick" and the tiny tiger (aka chipmunk).
