Belated Anniversary.

Ryan and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary on Wednesday May 28th. With my work and school schedule we were able to spend about 2 hours together, most of that time was spent eating and taking care of the baby. How romantic! Looking back over the past three years Ryan and I have been truly blessed. Here are some throw-back pics from the perfect day!

Now that the weather has finally warmed up, we have really enjoyed taking Adam to the park. He really enjoys the fresh air, slide and swings. The bonus is that the park is pretty close by so mom and dad can enjoy the walk there. Here are some pictures and video from last weeks trip to the park!

Today was the fourth (I believe) running of the Fargo Marathon so congratulations to all those runners who took on this feat. There were two Kenyans who were brought in as ringers and were favored to win, but due to them running another marathon in the last few weeks, Eric Sondag of Grand Forks won with an unofficial course record of 2:30:34. Robin, Adam, and I met Joel and Erika by Island Park Cycles at the Great Northern to cheer on the runners about three miles into the course. There was a steady stream of runners for almost an hour. After it slowed down, Robin took a bike for a test drive from IPC to Island Park where we met Erika (again). We spent a little time at the park where Adam loved the swings again and went to Erika's for lunch. We grilled hot dogs, ate shrimp salad and Texas Caviar. After lunch, we all came back home for a nice long nap. After the nap, Robin and I got ready for our date tonight at Up the Creek restaurant. Adam was left at a coworker of Robin's, Jodi, who had a house full of children tonight anyway. We ended up buying a cheaper model of the bike Robin test drove this morning so now we can go for family bike rides with Adam in the little Burley cart. The most exciting thing for Robin was that she got a "really cute" helmet that happens to match her bike. If anyone sees the following bikes riding around Fargo along with a Burley cart with a bright orange flag, it's probably us, so feel free to honk and wave.

Milestones

Adam has been hitting some pretty important milestones this week. Yesterday, our little man turned nine months old. He as also cut his first tooth. This has caused some fussy nights, along with that fact that he will get into a sitting or kneeling position in the middle of the night and cry because he can't figure out how to lie down and get back to sleep. I hope he figures that out soon! Other little tricks he does are playing pat a cake, and waving bye bye. The biggest milestone is that he is now a crawler! Yes, a crawler. Today when we got home from daycare I had him sitting on the living room floor when he got into position and instead of just rocking he actually went forward. I, of course, screamed for joy and proceeded to run for the video camera so you all could enjoy this new trick he has accomplished.

Duluth Chapter Roll Call!

Well I know you have all been patiently awaiting an update, so here is a big one for you filled with lots of pictures. It has been a busy last week for us. I started my masters classes on Wednesday, which came with a bunch of homework. Ryan and I are also involved in small group bible study which come with a little homework as well. Last weekend we were able to get out an visit some houses on the Fargo parade of homes. We got some really great ideas for our future house which will hopefully come true for us next spring/summer. This weekend we headed back to Duluth not only for mothers day, but for my dad's birthday! He did have to go turkey hunting this weekend so he only got a little time with Adam. Besides Grandpa Glen Adam got to spend time with many other members of the Adam John Fan Club. So here we go with the Duluth Chapter's roll call!

A Duluth Chapter Sound Off!

Adam up to some new tricks.

Adam is probably the most spoil baby ever, I am pretty sure. I blame his grandparents. He has so many clothes and toys and everyone just loves to hold him and give him attention. When I picked him up at daycare today, one of the girls that works there took him first to give him a big hug and tell me that he is her favorite baby because he is always so smiley and fun. Again, it never gets old hearing this from people. I do feel bad for our cat, Tad. I am not sure that I have ever really mentioned on our blog that we have a cat. He as learned to roll with the punches around here, and he does really well with Adam even when he is getting is tail and fur pulled.

Adam's new toy, he told us he just had to have it. It's a 3 in 1 push and ride Tonka Truck. Ok, maybe Ryan and I have a little something to do with him being spoiled.
