All American Boy.

We had an unofficial house warming party at our home on the Fourth of July. My good friend Michelle Short was visiting from out of town and some good friends Mike and Jamie Eckman as well, so it seemed like a good time to have everyone over for a barbecue. It was a beautiful night. We brought out some lawn games (because we have a lawn now!) and even shot off a few fireworks. We actually had a pretty good view of all the fireworks being shot off around the neighborhood. I was worried that all the noise would wake Adam up but he slept through everything, even the loud one we set off in our yard.

Adam was pretty tired out from the busy day. We took him to the zoo early on the fourth where he was again able to encounter his favorite animal, the peacock. Michelle bought Adam the cutest peacock stuffed animal for his birthday. After his nap we took out his new sprinkler beach ball for him to run around. He was a little shy with it at first but after daddy showed him how it was done he war fearless. All the fresh air really wore him out and after watching a couple fireworks he was out.

It is so nice to be unpacked and able to just enjoy our house. With good friends, a beautiful son, good jobs, and a roof over our heads, Ryan and I have so many blessings to be thankful. God is good.

Adam wasn't to sure about petting the cow.

Everyone enjoying some lawn games.
Adam wanted to get in on some of the action.
