Back from vacation.

Well, it's been a fun week, but it's time to get back to reality. Robin and I both had a week off (I actually ended up with a few weeks off) which we spent together in Duluth. It's been a long time since I've been up to Duluth in the summer and I had forgotten how pretty and fun it is. We went over there for a wedding last Saturday for Sarah Sederski (now known as Sarah Walker). We had a fun time and she was very beautiful, but the highlight of the night was Robin (actually all of us) seeing her maid of honor Michelle Short recently back from her two and a half year stint in Africa as a member of the Peace Corps. Cathy and Glen still had to work the first part of the week while we were there so we spent a fair amount of time over at Granny and Papa's to visit them and Uncle Dave. This summer they put up a swing for Adam and have all been very excited to see him try it out. Adam lived up to all the hype as he loved swinging here no matter how high or how rough or how spinney it got. Glen left on a fishing trip early Wednesday morning and Cathy had Thursday and Friday off so Robin and I spent a couple nights up the shore. We stayed at Temperance River State Park. We were camping about 5o yds from Lake Superior and could see it well from our campsite. The weather the whole week was excellent, however it stormed pretty hard the two nights we were in the tent. We took some nice long (many many steps, both up and down) hikes in the state parks along the North Shore Drive. We even got to ride our bikes some and do some shopping up in Grand Marais. Friday we packed it up and headed back to Duluth, exhausted. We spent a couple more days visiting family and just got back yesterday. It was great to get out of town and remembering how to relax again. Here are just a few pictures from the past week to tie you over. Robin, I'm sure, will post more soon.
